Connect Square
Use Square to sync payments so returning guests are tracked automatically.
Before you start
- A Square account with sign-in access.
Steps
- Go to the Integrations page.
- On the Square card, select Connect.
- Select Connect Square.
- Sign in to Square and approve access. ForkStar requests read access to payments and customers.
- You return to ForkStar. The Square card shows Connected.
What happens next
Payments sync every hour. Each payment is matched to a guest by phone or email when that information is available, and matched payments count toward Returning revenue. To pull payments right away, open the Square card, select Manage, then Sync now.
Disconnect
Open the Square card, select Manage, then Disconnect.
Troubleshooting
- My payments have not appeared yet. Payments sync once per hour. To pull them right away, select Manage, then Sync now. The first sync covers the last 90 days.
- A payment did not match a guest. A payment matches when the phone number or email on the payment matches a guest in your Guest log. Payments without matching contact details stay unmatched.
